Team HESCO at the Southampton Boat Show!
September 15th to 24th September, Southampton, UK

Two weeks after their record-breaking row across the Atlantic, ‘Team Hesco powered by Commando Joe’ are at the Southampton Boat Show to talk about what it’s like to cross the ocean in a 29ft rowing boat.

Mount Spirit took 84 days, 23 hours and 59 minutes to make the 3,316 mile journey from New York to Mevagissey, Cornwall – giving the four-man Army Commando crew the record for the longest continuous unsupported crossing of the Atlantic Ocean, to be recognised with a presentation from Guinness World Records during the Show.  With a combined age of 164 years, they are also the oldest team to have ever rowed an ocean!

By completing the crossing, the crew has so far raised a staggering £146,000 for the Meningitis Trust, in memory of Gareth Rowlands, son of a crew member and tragic victim of the disease.

You can find Team Hesco at the Southampton Boat show at Berth 170.  Please go to www.southamptonboatshow.com for further information on getting to the show.
